Re: Second letter submission to the NYPD Commissioner’s Office in regards to police report #8772, Third letter submission to the Bronx District Attorney office in regards to obtaining assistance from the crime victim’s unit.
Dear Commissioner Sewell,
The sole purpose of my letter written on this day is to bring attention and awareness to the Office of the Commissioner; and to announce that my concerns relating to my continued request for support to amend police report #8772 has gone unanswered.
My first letter written to you dated March 1, 2022 is requesting help from you and your office, to intervene in this ongoing and unjust matter. The need to have my police report is extremely vital, because of the importance to have the legal document accurate and true to what I wrote on the initial police form that is kept filed within the 46 precinct. The information that I recorded and documented on the form that was given to me by the officer; lacks the truth in which is displayed on the print out version that the 46 precinct drafts up and forwards to headquarters. In addition, as with any situation, problem, or issue there is often one then one part to the scenario. There are additional factors that go hand in hand with police report #8772.
As you will see I have included the office of the Bronx District Attorney on this letter. I have been attempting to seek out assistance and support from the crime victim’s unit at the Bronx District Attorney office. Up until today the unit has not offered me assistance or support, this includes the following:
• My initial call to the unit, seeking support, several follow up calls to inquire feedback, a walk-in follow up to the Bronx DA’s office, a written letter to Ms. Moore (crime victim unit supervisor) , and a letter written to Ms. Tucker.
With of the above done and seen through I have yet to be provided with the much so assistance that I have been seeking after.
Today July 9, 2022 I would like to question the NYPD, and the carry outs of their policies. If a New Yorker files a police report and the narrative of the report is not what the New Yorker documented on the initial report, how can the NYPD with hold the right to amend the report?
According to the New York City Charter it states:
Chapter 18 - POLICE DEPARTMENT
Section 431.
434. a. Commissioner; powers and duties. a. The commissioner shall
have cognizance and control of the government, administration,
disposition and discipline of the department, and of the police force of
the department.
b. The commissioner shall be the chief executive officer of the
police force. He shall be chargeable with and responsible for the
execution of all laws and the rules and regulations of the department.

Commissioner Sewell, I am requesting your assistance again involving this crucial concern that relates to me and my safety. The need to have the police report #8772 correctly displaying the accurate information is vital to the situation that I have endured, and that I am still facing.
